Tenn. Protesters arresed for 2nd night
In this article it talks about the occupy wall street case. Tennessee state troopers for the second straight night o the protest arrested more than 12 dozen protesters for not following a new nighttime curfew. places by the governor of Tennessee. Like the first night, the judge dismissed thr protesters arrest warrants like. The news paper told citizens Saturday that magistrate Tom Nelson told troopers that he could find no authority to create the curfew on the Legislative plaza. Protesters returned to the plaza and once more stayed there past the 10 pm curfew. Troopers arrested 26 protesters. They were charged with trespassing, public intoxication and impersonation. The judicial commissioner refused to issue warrants for any of the charges. Officials told that 72 troopers were involved in the curfew enforcement. Meanwhile, in California, a war veteran was seriously injured during a fight with officials Tuesday night. In Atlanta, helicopters hovered overhead as officers arrested people. In San Diego, police arrested 51 people protesting. In Tennessee more that 200 people went to a Fridays meeting to discuss the arresting. . here was no noticeable law enforcement presence for nearly 2 hours after the curfew went into effect, while theaters let out patrons who filled the block. They were not arrested but the protesters were. Protesters would return Saturday even if it meant more arrests. The 29 demonstrators arrested Friday were taken to jail, but the judge ruled that the state did not give them enough time to comply with the new curfew. They were issued situations for trespassing which only is a 50$ fine if they are found guilty. Officers describe that the Plaza has been haring deteriorating security and sanitary conditions on the plaza. The safety commissioner said that it is unrealistic use for the police doing to protect the protesters from homeless people robbing them, Police do not have enough time and money to protect them.
In class we learned about the bill of rights. I have learned that Judges need to issue warrants in order to seize (arrest) anyone. So technically the officials that arrested the protesters were breaking the law. I also learned in class about the first amendment in a form of RAPPS. Right to petition, assemble, to free speech and press, and to religion. This article is a great example of right to assemble and free speech. People are standing for what they believe and are expressing their opinion.
This connects to my life because there's always a chance in the future where something may not go the way I want it to. I would have to stand up for what I believe in. People in my family have made a stand before and there's many examples of people trying to make a difference everywhere I go. Most of the time its someone standing in front of a store with a sign handing out papers to people.
My opinion about this story is neutral. I respect the people trying to make a difference and risking the possibly to be arrested for doing so. I also understand why others oppose to them, even if some just want to silence them to keep them from looking bad. I am not in this deeply and am only reviewing it. There is much i do not understand about the occupy wall street case.

The Pledge of Allegiance
In my response to the first article I have read in class, (10/25) I learned about the history of the Pledge of Allegiance. Two men, Francis Bellany and James Upham, are believed to have authored the words that would come to be the beginning of the Pledge of Allegiance. (was published anonymously) 12 million school children began reciting it in school a month after it had been published, however that wasn't the end of the genesis of the Pledge. It took many years for the pledge to be the flag ( that's hat it was known as previously) to reach full maturity to be know as it is today. A year after schools began to speak it (1923) it was changed to clarity that it was fir the United States. Though these years the Pledge grew in popularity not only with children but with adults as well. In 1945 it was changed to be called 'the Pledge of Allegiance.' AS further years passed littler changes were added to the the Pledge until in 1954 when it was changed to how we know it today.
In class, I am learning about the Constitution/Bill of Rights. This is similar to what this article is about. It, like the constitution is a written change in my government's history. The Pledge of Allegiance is the oath to the flag and symbolized importance to my country.
I am reminded in my advisory class period that I am a citizen as I recite the pledge. Every single day I recite it in my school and all the adults around me have it memorized too. I have been taught that the pledge is very important to know and understand because it tell me that I am a citizen in my community and reminds me I have a role to play in my country's future as well as my own path.
My opinion about the pledge of allegiance is that I believe that it is a good way to show out loyalty to our nation. It explains how we have freedom yet each state follows laws, and we all work together to form a more perfect Union. Its reminds us that we can not be separated. And also 'we' means 'all'. We all our free and not separating black and white or religion from religion or sex from sex. We are all equal and the Pledge reminds us off all of this.
